560-540 Stainless Steel Side Block Body / Low Pressure Ports

The Stainless Steel Side Block Body (P/N 560-540) features three Low Pressure Ports: two on top, and one on the bottom. The most recent addition is a smaller low pressure port located on the top of the side block.

The smaller low pressure port (top) serves as an alternate location for the Over Pressure Relief Valve (P/N 200-017). The advantage being that the Over Pressure Relief Valve may be installed onto the side block rather than on the diver’s bailout first stage. This port is open to the pressure in the bailout hose and not shut off by a closed emergency valve. The port is drilled and tapped with a 3/8 inch-24 thread orifice identical in size to the port on the bottom of the block. Both also use the same Plug with O-ring (P/N 550-095). On the side block though, the Over Pressure Relief Valve functions only in the smaller, top low pressure port.
